Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for NJMS-Pharmacology.
The primary purpose of the student assistant position, under the direction of the Principal Investigator, will be to conduct specialized research investigating dysregulation of hepatic calcium signaling and its role in the pathogenesis of liver disease.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • As required, prepares buffers and reagents, maintains mouse colonies, isolates primary hepatocytes and performs experiments as directed by the PI.
  • Schedules and directs data acquisition and processing by use of computers.
  • Assists Principal Investigator in data acquisition and processing.
  • Assists in the establishment of performance standards, as well as in the selection of methodology and instrumentation.
  • Records and analyzes results of experiments in reports for supervisor.

Minimum Education and Experience
  •  Satisfactory completion of High School/Undergraduate degree and currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate studies at Rutgers University.
