Position Summary:


Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the department of Pharmacology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, provide assistance in computational analysis of ongoing research projects focusing on the function of transcription factor (TF) networks in mediating cell fate transitions at the early stages of oncogenic transformation as well as during aging of the immune system. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Assist with pre-processing and analysis of high-throughput sequencing data generated by approaches listed above. 
  • Assist other lab members relative to the role of transcription factor binding and chromatin structure dynamics. 
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive analytical records. 
  • Perform statistical analyses of research data. 
  • Analyze and process experimental data for publication and grant application. 
  • Laboratory housekeeping. 

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Completion of undergraduate degree and/or be currently enrolled in graduate studies at Rutgers University, with experience in the statistics.  
  • Current Rutgers Student.

  • Work Environment: Lab environment with moderate noise. 

Salary: $17.00/hour
