| Job Details | Position Overview: The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and organized student assistant to support the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) and the Office of Digital Learning (ODL) in communications, marketing, and faculty engagement initiatives. CAFE supports excellence in teaching and learning through faculty development programs, while ODL supports faculty and students through innovative instructional technologies and digital learning resources. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in communications, digital content creation, event support, instructional technology, customer service, and administrative operations. The student assistant will work collaboratively with both offices to help promote programs, support faculty initiatives, assist with special events, and contribute to the daily operations of the departments. Key Responsibilities: · Create and edit digital content including graphics, photos and videos · Photograph and document events, workshops, training sessions, and faculty engagement activities. · Assist with promoting faculty development programs, trainings, workshops, and special events. · Support additional communications, marketing, and administrative projects as assigned. · Assist with planning, setup, and support for workshops, training sessions, conferences, faculty orientations, and special events. · Help prepare event materials, signage, handouts, and registration packets. · Welcome participants, assist with participant check-in, attendance tracking, and event evaluations. · Provide front office assistance and greet faculty, staff, and visitors. · Answer phones, respond to general inquiries. · Assist with data entry, record keeping, and updating faculty training records. · Monitor and replenish office supplies and assist with inventory management. · Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned. | Knowledge, Skills & Abilities | Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and strong organization abilities. Photo and Video editing skills preferred. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with faculty, staff and students. |
