Job Summary: The UA Online Technical Support Student Assistant provides technical support for UA Online, ACCESS High School and online professional development courses and programs. Works under the supervision of the UA Online Technical Support Team. Manages technical support tickets in an online helpdesk environment and works in Blackboard, Google Drive, MS Office and other computer platforms. Checks course inventory. Uploads and formats content in the learning management system. Produces graphics and learning objects. Additional duties as assigned.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Proficiency in MS Office, Google Drive, and Google applications. Working knowledge of Windows OS, Mac OS, mobile devices, phones, and tablets.  


Skills and Knowledge: Excellent problem-solving skills. Above-average knowledge of computer technology. Good organization and communication skills. Detail-oriented. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. Ability to work independently.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Blackboard or similar learning management systems. Basic photo/video editing skills. Experience with content creation tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate. Good interpersonal and customer service skills.


Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
