Job Summary
The Center for Next Generation Leadership located in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, innovative, and strategic individual to collaborate with Kentucky high schools, UK colleges, and UK offices to enhance and support UK Next Gen Scholars dual credit student’s success at the University of Kentucky and recruitment into the University. Activities related to this position will include:
  • Providing professional-level program coordination and event planning for students, high schools, and departments within the UK Next Gen Scholars program.
  • Managing and implementing the academic and financial advising and support services to students participating in the program.
  • Assisting high schools, students, and UK departments with the admissions and course registration of UK Next Gen Scholars, other high school students, and other non degree seeking students into the University of Kentucky.
  • Assisting in the input and management of student data.
  • Communicating frequently with potential and incoming students across a variety of platforms both onsite and online, including the support/maintenance of websites and other communication platforms.

Specific Skill Sets:
Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, creative, and demonstrate proficient use of Google Docs and Microsoft Office products, working knowledge of various social media platforms, strong organizational and event planning experience, and experience working with high school and undergraduate students. Bachelor’s Degree is required.
