Public Relations Student Assistant – At Chapman University, we’re on the lookout for a dynamic and resourceful Public Relations Student Worker to support our PR department. If you’re a student with your finger on the pulse of news media, a love for crafting compelling stories, and a keen interest in higher education trends, we want you to be a part of our team. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in PR, media relations, and strategic communication in a vibrant higher education environment.
Responsibilities
  • craft media fact sheets for individual colleges
  • Media research
  • Craft media lists
  • Monitor coverage
  • Prep holiday lists
  • Share PR trends seen in the media
  • Monitor media calendars
  • Update the PR Social Media Twitter account
  • help create PR kits and tools for reporters
Required Qualifications
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications
• Preferably someone with a PR/communication major
• Strong writer
