Description of Work Unit | Provide construction and remodel service to the various departments on campus to fulfill the mission of the University community. |
Position Summary | The position will perform as Work Lead (Structural Trades II) to support the “do-it-now” and short notice needs of Project Managers which includes deliveries, installations, punch list items such as hardware, door adjustments, detail work as well as construction support such as demolition, layout and framing on remodels and construction projects. The position will function and a Work Leader over 4 FTE’s and 2 SCH positions and will be assigning work, evaluating the quality of work performed, instructing and training on new equipment and systems, creating schedule and task assignments and status reports. The Work Leader supports the project and remodel construction team process by performing print and code review, quality control and oversight. |
Minimum Qualifications | Four years of progressively responsible experience in the carpenter trade to include at least two years in commercial and/or industrial applications. |
