Job Summary
The Office of University Human Resources is seeking a Strategic Talent Partner. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE),12-month, professional faculty position.
The Strategic Talent Partner (Partner) divides their efforts between executive and academic faculty recruitment programs across Oregon State University (OSU), and HR partnership with employee relations emphasis.
As a talent advisor, the Partner works closely with University HR experts to design and implement best in class executive search and academic faculty recruitment practices in support of OSU’s Prosperity Widely Shared strategic plan and its Diversity Action Plan. As an HR Strategic Partner, the incumbent is a key consultant and trusted advisor on employee relations matters.

What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in field relevant to assigned responsibilities and 5 years’ experience providing human resource consultation and recruitment strategy OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for inclusive Executive and Academic Faculty recruitment and outreach.
  • Proven history of helping leaders attract, retain and develop high performance teams.
  • Experience providing employee relations guidance in a unionized environment.
  • Proven ability to influence high-impact decisions, provide critical feedback, and lead difficult conversations.
  • Proficient in the use of applicant tracking systems, HRIS and Microsoft Office software or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships and work effectively with colleagues, hiring units, and interested parties from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
  • A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, as evidenced in professional development, activities and/or outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement strategies for creating robust and diverse candidate pools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, and undertake work assignments with initiative, in an environment of competing priorities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
What We Would Like You to Have
  • Expertise related to recruitment in the fields of climate science and related solutions; clean energy technology and related solutions; robotics; and integrated health and biotechnology.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze various data and make linkages across complex organizational or business concepts, strategy, structure and processes.
  • Experience developing and delivering training for secondary or post-secondary learners.
  • Experience recruiting to grow e-campus/online programs.
  • Human resources experience in unionized environments.
  • Experience creating recruitment plans and using sourcing tools.
  • Experience working in Higher Education.
  • Current PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position is based in Corvallis with some level of flexibility including the option work remotely with regular commuting to campus as part of a hybrid work schedule.
This position will require travel to executive and academic faculty recruitment events i.e. conferences, workshops, meetings, or seminars. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Recommended Full-Time Salary Range Salary is commensurate with skills, education and experience.
