Description:

The SPD Logistics Supervisor is engaged in overseeing daily operations of the Central Sterile Department including coordinating reprocessing functions and staff supervisory responsibilities. The SPD Logistics Supervisor coordinates and meets operating room sterile instruments and trays needs based on surgical schedule. The SPD Logistics Supervisor job duties include activities affecting more than one department and for which errors can have serious consequences. Responsibilities are directed toward achieving and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction within the Perioperative Services department in conjunction with collaborating clinics.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The SPD Logistics Supervisor is engaged in overseeing daily operations of the Central Sterile Department including coordinating reprocessing functions and staff supervisory responsibilities.
• The SPD Logistics Supervisor coordinates and meets operating room sterile instruments and trays needs based on surgical schedule.

• Services department in conjunction with collaborating clinics.

Minimum Qualifications Required: 

1. Any one or combination totaling four (4) years (48 months) from the categories below:

A. College coursework in business administration, accounting, finance, operations management, or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

• 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
• Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
• 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
• Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)

B. Progressively more responsible work experience in business or materials management functions (such as accounting, sales management, purchasing, stores/warehousing, and/or materials distribution).

2. One (1) year (12 months) of responsible work experience in business or materials management functions (such as accounting, sales management, purchasing, stores/warehousing, and/or materials distribution).

• Previous SPD frontline leader experience
• 2 years’ experience in Sterile Processing
• Certification in Sterile Processing (HSPA or CBSPD) required.
