Position Summary
Performs data management and/or data analysis for investigators using statistical packages. Assists investigators in the design of experiments. Employee will engage in mentored research focusing on neuroimaging data and will have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty mentors to help define study questions, and conduct hypothesis testing. Individuals will develop, execute, and report on complex projects involving analysis, interpretation, and reporting under the supervision of faculty mentors. In addition, such individuals will participate in the development of publications, presentations, and funding applications


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Curates, cleans, combines, and processes large amounts of data from multiple sources and manages the resulting databases for statistical analyses.
  • Performs data analysis and/or data management for investigators using statistical packages, such as SAS and R including generation of tables and graphs.
  • Reports results of statistical analyses in written, graphical, and verbal form. Assists with writing of scientific manuscripts and presentations.
  • Assists in data base design, implementation and maintenance of data collected over time for research purposes, including acquisition, editing and reporting.
  • Designs, performs, and evaluates research procedures; confers with PI to assist in developing plans for research projects and discusses the interpretation of results.
  • Collaborates with team members, attends lab meetings, etc.
  • May assist in design and development of data entry systems.
  • May function as a statistical consultant primarily in collaborative studies involving the medical school community.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Salary Range
$22.92 - $35.49 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
