Responsible for supervision, management, budget administration, technical instruction, maintenance, and security of the Department of Art - New Genres Area - video/audio editing labs, media equipment room, resource room, and video viewing room. Additionally responsible for all aspects of the six experimental project spaces including technical instruction to exhibit and install artworks, maintenance, safe operation of installation power/hand tools, and security of the facilities. Instruct, advise, and support in the use of all New Genres area equipment, software, tools, and facilities used by graduate and undergraduate students. Remain current and knowledgeable about equipment, tools, video and film workflows, software, new technologies and techniques relevant to contemporary art production in media and installation. Maintain inventory and checkout service of equipment, power/hand tools, and other supplies. Manage and coordinate New Genres Area student workers, graduate assistants, and classrooms. Expected to contribute to the intellectual development of the New Genres area.
