Responsibilities
In this position, your primary duties will include laboratory work in the area of Alzheimer’s disease, drug discovery, and cell biology/biochemical studies of amyloid proteins. Specific tasks include biophysical studies of protein amyloid fibrils, recombinant protein expression and purification, and protein extraction from human tissues. The use of the following analytical techniques is anticipated: fluorescence microscopy, negative-stain electron microscopy, western blot, ELISA, and analytical size exclusion chromatography. Specific training will be given as needed, but a keen attention to detail and diligent book keeping are a must.
