Position Description:
Under general supervision of Dr. Jaime Castrellon, the SRA I will primarily be responsible for coordinating and conducting research studies (e.g., designing and implementing experiments, programming experimental tasks, behavioral, fMRI, PET, and pharmacology data collection, processing and analyzing data, subject recruitment, literature reviews, assisting with manuscript preparation) and general lab management (e.g., lab website maintenance, interviewing and supervising research assistants, maintaining lab computers and equipment, planning lab events and research meetings). Dr. Castrellon's lab examines the neural basis of social and affective mechanisms of human decision making. The Castrellon Lab uses behavioral experimentation, neuroimaging (fMRI and PET), pharmacology, and experience sampling methods to study the interplay between reward processing, social behavior, and motivation.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make creative contributions to research, and thus, to co-author academic papers.
