The mission of the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University is to transform human healthcare and the environment by emulating the way nature builds. Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary
|B.S. in engineering, physical sciences or related field required. Four years of experience working with research and development, prototyping, fabrication, design or related fields required. Advanced Education may count towards years of experience.|
M. S. preferred. Interdisciplinary technical design skills are desirable, e.g. electromechanical design; skill in state of the art mathematical software for control and data analysis (e.g. MATLAB, LabView, Python); proficiency with 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g. Rhino, Unity3D, Autodesk Fusion); expertise in digital fabrication methods; experience in materials selection and characterization; strong organizational skills, creativity, motivation, and communication (oral and written) ability extremely beneficial; willing to tackle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic team environment; candidates should have a willingness to work outside of their discipline to accomplish project goals.
