WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS POSITION
The Career Development Office Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Law School's Dean for Career Development and provides support to the Law School's Career Development Office. Some of the responsibilities of this role are:
 

  • Provide support to members of the Career Development Office (CDO) and various CDO activities and events
  • Answer phones, return voicemail messages
  • Calendar events and meetings and set up invitations
  • Answer questions and troubleshoot for students, employers, alumni, CDO staff and law school staff
  • Monitor the Professional Development class, which includes attendance and assignments.
  • Supervise and train student employees in the CDO office


WHAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR THIS ROLE?
Minimum: Bachelor's degree OR 1-2 years of related experience.


Preferred: Bachelor's degree AND two or more years of related experience.  
 
SKILLS, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC.

    • to speak and write clearly and persuasively to law students, employers, alumni, and potential donors

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Sensitivity with confidential records and information
  • Ability to work independently and direct others when required
  • Highly developed organizational skills and efficiency
  • Proficient with standard office software (especially Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps)
  • Tech-savvy with the ability and/or willingness to learn and utilize new technology and tools
