Job-Specific Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director for Faculty Recruiting and Appointments, the Staff Assistant, Faculty Recruiting supports the faculty recruiting process in the following ways:
• Serves as a point of contact for inquiries from staff, faculty, and candidates on recruiting processes. ​​​​​​Provides administrative support for the process, coordinates campus visits, tracks and maintains confidential information, and supports the planning and execution of recruiting events. Provides technical support and training on processes.
• Supports the planning and logistics associated with the annual new faculty orientation program including space planning, catering and administrative support for program participants.
• Processes confidential information related to on-boarding faculty including hiring and transitions, benefit information, payments and reimbursements. Tracks related information.

​​​​​​​Other duties in support of the team’s goals.


Basic Qualifications

3+ years of high-level administrative support is required.


Additional Qualifications and Skills

BA/BS preferred.
• Experience working with faculty in an academic setting preferred. Facility with data and online systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred.
• Ability to deliver consistently pro-active, top-level, timely service with tact and discretion.
• Capacity to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
• Skill to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential/sensitive information.
• Vigilant attention to detail, professionalism, strong judgment and demonstrated ability to produce consistently high quality work product


Additional Information

This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus 3 days per week. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.
