Creighton University founded in 1878 main campus is located in Omaha Nebraska.   We are a comprehensive Jesuit University that educates over 8,000 students.  Our nine (9) colleges and schools offer over 140 programs including arts and sciences, business administration, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, dentistry, and graduate studies.  Our Accounting professionals are critical to the university’s success. The primary focus for the Staff Accountant II will be accounting for our general current funds, plant funds, agency funds. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries and cost transfers, preparing financial reports and invoices, reconciling balance sheet accounts, tracking the University’s fixed assets, and researching and responding to questions and requests from our Finance partners across the University. In addition, you will interact with our various school, department, and clinic managers to accurately reflect cash receipts. You will also be called upon to assist with special projects. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Accounting emphasis or related experience
3-5 years' of related experience.

Knowledge of accounting methods and procedures
Accounting and bookkeeping skills

Verbal and written communication skills
Supervisory skills
Ability to operate personal computer and various software packages
Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain accuracy

Ability to maintain confidentiality
