St. Ignatius Institute Social Media Assistant

Job Summary:

The St. Ignatius Institute (SII) Social Media Assistant will assist with social media content creation, marketing, and other administrative duties to support the SII program.
SII Social Media Assistant reports to the SII Program Assistant, Sky Berry-Weiss. This position is hourly at a rate of $18.07 for a maximum of 6 hours per week. At least 3 hours should be in-person in the SII office, preferably on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any remaining time can be remote. All work must be pre-approved by the SII Program Assistant.

SII Student Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Publicize and create content for SII including social media posts, flyers, video, and other forms of media. 

  • Coordinate with Program Assistant to develop monthly posting schedule

  • Work with SII Resident Minister to advertise Community Nights

  • Assist SII Leadership Team with SII Retreat content creation and publicizing 

  • Manage the Institute’s social media accounts (Instagram)

  • Help with special projects and events as necessary

  • Assist with social media tasks with SII’s sister institution, the Honors College

  • Help Program Assistant with daily operational tasks within the office

  • Ideate creative and innovative ways to enhance visibility of SII’s programing 

  • Serve as an ambassador for SII through actively engaging with community members in the Living Learning Community and community events

Requirements

  • All applicants must be active members of the St. Ignatius Institute in their second, third, or fourth year at USF and in good standing.

  • Consistently attend SII Community and Academic Activities

  • Approach student engagement with enthusiasm and consistent effort

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in advertising/marketing and social media management preferred. 

  • Proficient in Canva, Adobe Suite, or other content creating softwares 

  • Familiarity with social media platforms

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Attention to detail

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively
