Our group at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a motivated and talented scientist who will contribute to discovery and translational research in the areas of noncoding RNA biology and RNA therapeutics of human cancer.

The successful candidate will perform research on discovery and translational science to interface clinical development for treatment of cancer patients. We expect that RNA-based approach for human clinical investigation will emerge from these efforts through our collaborations.
Develop and optimize multiple assays for screening in-vitro and in-vivo biological as well as proof-of concept agents for myeloma-specific therapeutic targets. May oversee screening operations, including scheduling, assay performance and data flow. Collects and interprets data for biomarker and biological characterization assays including cell-based, multiplexed protein assays, polymerase chain reaction and flow cytometry methods. Develops biochemical assays for lead validation and optimization of drug-like molecules especially for therapy-resistant/refractory myeloma patients. Emphasis may be on the development of biochemical assays for high-throughput screening. May work with manufacturing and quality control to develop tests, as well as analyze and report results. Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.
The candidate will supervise a team of 3-5 individuals, consisting of postdocs, technicians, and students in the lab.
The ideal candidate will possess:
??? a Ph.D. in biological sciences; MD or MD/PhD.
??? a strong background in immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, and cell biology.
??? excellent oral and written communication skills.
??? the ability to perform both self-directed and guided research.
??? the ability to effectively work as part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists.
