What You Will Achieve.

As a member of the Pfizer team, your role will o versee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing engineering capital projects and serv e as liaison between project engineers and planning, project team and line management. In your role, you will r eview the status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepares status reports. You and your team will a ssess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

How You Will Achieve It.

  • Fulfills project manager duties for medium to large scale capital projects.
  • Assists with oversight for the site's project engineering strategies/programs, which includes Long Range Capital Plan development and leading programs at site.
  • Directs strategy and communication with internal and external customers throughout the lifecycle of the Capital Project.
  • Develops conceptual designs, preliminary budgets and execution schedules for assigned projects
  • Leads cross-functional teams to author/develop equipment/utility requirement/specification documents (URS/FRS, engineering design review, design specs, config specs)
  • Assists customers and project sponsors with the preparation, reviews, endorsements and approval of Capital Project Appropriation requests (CPAs) for assigned projects. CPAs to include project descriptions, justifications, cost estimates, budgets, financial analyses, schedules, discussion of alternatives and other appropriate information.
  • Responsible for the overall capital project cost and schedule control
  • Preparation of monthly project reports, capital spending reports, cash flow planning and forecasts
  • Contributes to the overall management of the site's capital projects portfolio
  • Prepares documents for regulatory agency, internal, corporate and third party inspections; appear before inspectors/auditors to answer questions
  • Assists in preparation of all safety work permits for contractors
  • Active involvement with site safety initiates and Right First Time initiatives

Qualifications.

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a HS Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of
    relevant experience OR an associates degree with 6 years of
    experience OR a bachelors with at least 3 years of experience OR
    Masters with more than 1 year of experience

Nice-to-Have

  • PMP Certification or PE/EIT License
  • Working knowledge of FDA Regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical or Chemical Manufacturing Operations.
  • Strong evidence of problem - solving skills.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Role requires ability to safely navigate construction sites, and project areas.
  • The position requires a very high level of resourcefulness, an ability to get things done by removing obstacles, perceiving and resolving problems, making difficult decisions with less than complete information provided, and accomplishing project and operational goals through innovative management.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • This role is standard day Monday through Friday work shift
  • Travel required for vendor selection, FAT support, & global network meetings; estimate less than 10%.
  • Off-shift work minimal; project related.
  • Two (2) annual shutdowns require significant site commitment.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $78,000.00 to $130,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 10.0% of the base salary.
