ROLE SUMMARY

As the healthcare communications and technology landscape in Pharma evolves, the Medical Channel Excellence team focuses on optimizing engagement with healthcare providers across channels, driving improved education, clinical/business decision making, and impactful patient outcomes globally. Through innovative technologies and medical insights, the team will optimize existing channels and identify new ones, ensuring seamless integration and staying at the forefront of omnichannel capabilities.

The Medical Channel Strategy Sr Manager supports initiatives across the team to develop comprehensive omnichannel strategy that integrates various digital platforms and channels to enhance engagement with healthcare professionals/multidisciplinary teams (MDTs). This includes the identification of HCP customer preferences and corresponding channel mix. This colleague will report into the Medical Channel Strategy Team Lead and is expected to demonstrate strong creativity, and entrepreneurship to ensure the compliant dissemination of education to our healthcare provider community.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support creation of medical omnichannel framework, integrating customer insights and channel mix strategies
  • Identify emerging channels for Medical Affairs activation based on customer preferences
  • Leverage data analytics and channel metrics to inform channel selection and mix based on TA and customer type
  • Enhance cross channel integration through Pfizer and 3rd partner channels
  • Stay current on trends in digital technology and emerging channels in the healthcare landscape
  • Stay current on Global and local regulations/guidance that impact engagement with and delivery of medical information to external healthcare professionals and patients
  • Stay current on all relevant Pfizer SOPs and US guidance documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and implement improvements within the medical affairs asset level teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in the medical field, incorporating relevant advancements into project plans within the medical affairs asset level teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD) in life sciences, medical and/or business and 2+ years in pharmaceutical industry, including specific experience in scientific omnichannel communications; MBA and 5+ years
  • Experience in developing and executing digital/omnichannel data dissemination plans
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in proactively identifying and addressing challenges
  • Well-organized with the ability to be flexible and prioritize multiple demands

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional teams in developing omnichannel strategy
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry trends and evolving digital delivery methods for scientific information to HCPs

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $131,200.00 to $218,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
