Description

The Technology Project Manager (TPM), under the direction of the IT Con Program Manager (TPgrM), will lead and oversee major concurrent complex projects from Initiation through Implementation across the Chief Technology Officer’s (CTO) organization that includes IT Construction, IT Security and the broader Technology supported by the CTO. Responsibilities include executing the processes and procedures as outlined by the UCLA Health Information Technology (UHIT) Project Management Office (PMO) and identified in common project management systems (PMI PMP, Agile etc.). TPM will either independently carry out and/or support the TPgrM with the optimizing of the existing processes, procedures, and guidelines. TPM will be self-directed and require minimal supervision. This is a flex-hybrid role which will require you to be onsite at least 50% time or as required by operational need. Please note that there are no reimbursements for travel to “home office” location. Each employee must complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject to termination. Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $95,900 – $222,100 annually . The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately between the minimum and $136,000 annually.



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Required bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Required 5 or more years of experience required in information technology (specifically in project management preferred). Required PMP or equivalent certification. Preferred experience using a PPM tool (e.g. Clarity). Proficient at creating varied reports and roll-ups with recommendations that lead to successful and positive outcomes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to explain technical processes and concepts to varied and often non-technical audiences. Ability to work with minimal supervision either independently or in a team-oriented collaborative environment. Effective ability to relate, cooperate and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams. Demonstrated experience as a technical project manager who can manage multiple simultaneous large and/or complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite (Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint etc.). Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines leveraging both logical and ‘creative’ solutions. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to be persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service with an equally strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent critical thinking and business analysis skills with problem solving abilities. Effective group facilitation, mediation and conflict resolution skills. Thrives on challenges in a fluid working environment and takes initiative to learn new technologies. General knowledge of policy & procedure creation and governance. General knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other State and Federal regulations. General knowledge of common controls frameworks including ISO, NIST, COBIT, etc.
