Job Description
Serves as the primary contributor and consultant for ancillary, patient care, revenue cycle, provider and other healthcare applications, in the planning, development, implementation, functionality and evaluation of integrated information systems that support and enhance the business operation. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Acts as the principle resource with business knowledge and computer expertise to coordinate and provide support for all new and current applications and software upgrades applicable to the business systems. Develops or modifies complex information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Responsible for the analysis, testing and implementation of complex business systems and solutions. Provides customer support to current users by report and query tool creation, current report maintenance and custom data requests. Provides ongoing communication with customers on system status and data issues. Performs business analysis functions such as gathering user requirements, business rules, and data sources for new applications. Will advise on end-user training for business applications to ensure understanding of functionality. Troubleshoots and maintains existing applications (e.g. monitor processes, error correction, provide QA of data and maintain data integrity, system testing, etc.). Provides technical consulting on complex information systems projects.


Minimum Qualifications
A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and 4-8 years experience in Information Technology (preferably experience in business systems), Clinical Operations and/or a clinical area. Knowledge of analysis, specification design, language selection and report formatting.
