​The Sr. Academic Advisor will work with a highly energetic and student oriented advisement team, you will be providing academic advisement to prospective, current, former, undergraduate, and graduate students within the College of Nursing. This is a fast paced environment where employees strive to give excellent professional consultation/advice within demanding time constraints for multiple programs.

You will be advising and assisting students in the development of academic plans and class schedules; evaluating documents for entry and exit from the College of Nursing; partnering with the student to implement tools and success strategies as they navigate the university system. 

This position requires you to understand student success resources on campus as well as departmental requirements and objectives concerning degree goals. This includes assessing admission requirements, academic levels, attending to student academic inquiries, assisting in the resolution of individual academic problems, advising on academic program changes, and teaching students to project and prepare for graduation. 

The successful candidate will possess strong advising, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and customer-service skills. This candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and working with a diverse student, staff, and faculty population.
