Title Spring 2024 Career Peer Advisor (Non-Work Study)
Position Description
We are looking to hire up to 2 Career Peer Advisors to join our team. This role will allow you to support the career development of students and engage them in the services, events, and programs provided by the office. Additionally, your contribution will help develop, expand, and maintain the Career Services and Internship Program Office brand.
Sample Responsibilities:
  • Meet with BSU students to review resumes and cover letters in one-on-one or small group settings
  • Help students get set up on Handshake and become familiar in navigating this resource
  • Conduct outreach to BSU students to promote upcoming programs, events and services that support career development
  • Conduct resume and cover letter workshops
  • Represent and promote the office by assisting with university events and activities
  • Support the overall office operations and events
Preferred Qualifications
Requirements:
Current BSU students. All majors will be considered. Excellent communication skills with strong ability to write and edit. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Interest in connecting with BSU students as a peer advisor role to assist them with their career development. Works well under pressure and can multi-task. Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with students, staff and faculty.
