Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Sports Nutrition Operations Assistant for the Athletics Department.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Assists with the daily operations of the fueling stations located at the APC, RAC, CAG and RASC.
  • Assists with the daily operations of satellite fueling stations .
  • Assists with overseeing a team of student-workers that will assist in meeting operation needs.
  • Creates team education materials through various media (flyers, presentations, social media, etc.).

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant or related experience depending on the duties to be performed.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of food service quality and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.
  • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of word processing programs, presentation software, and nutrition analysis programs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion, handling sensitive matters involving student-athletes.
Equipment Utilized
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8-16 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, lift heavy objects, and drive university vehicles.
Special Conditions
  • Clean driving record.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
