The National Institute for Student Success at Georgia State University (NISS) is dedicated to helping colleges and universities identify and resolve institutionally-created barriers to equity and college completion. Through diagnostic services and practitioner-led coaching, collectively known as NISS high-touch services, the Institute enables campus leaders to implement proven student-success systems and data-driven interventions and to enact systemic change to institutional processes and structures. 

The NISS Senior Program Advisor  will organize and manage customized support for NISS partner institutions through diagnostic analysis, cohort coaching and individual consulting. The position provides ongoing, personalized attention and program implementation assistance based on each institution’s unique characteristics and challenges. This includes supporting the development and delivery of a customized diagnostic analysis and playbook specific to the partner institution. This position also supports the development, planning and implementation of NISS educational programming, including webinars, learning modules, workshops, and instruction specific to institutional partner engagement. They will be assigned to individual partner institutions and cohorts receiving high-touch services, monitoring and maintaining the program budgets and institutional priorities. The position also assists in maintaining the NISS inventory of consumables and resources, while also providing real-time support to partner institution learning processes. They will also assist in the curriculum and learning module development, along with course and program evaluation. Working with other NISS personnel, the Sr. Program Advisor will maintain web-based information services on educational programs and provide such information to all NISS partners and key stakeholders. The Senior Advisor will help supervise the development of topic-based learning pathways that expose institutional partners receiving implementation coaching services to different student success initiatives and strategies, while also securing NISS subject matter experts to provide effective program delivery.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Guide clients seamlessly through the entire NISS lifecycle of the diagnostic process, from onboarding and discovery to refinement and actionable recommendations.

• Provide support and training to Program Advisors (as needed) in the strategic development and execution of the NISS diagnostic analysis and playbook for partner institutions, ensuring a high level of expertise and leadership throughout the process.

•Take a leadership role in coordinating and managing ad-hoc projects, related to optimizing NISS client services, ensuring their successful initiation, execution, and completion.

•Expertly evaluate and interpret institutional quantitative data from diverse sources, including IPEDS, surveys, and other pertinent data, providing a nuanced understanding of partner institutions' challenges.

• Formulate and articulate strategic recommendations for institutional changes, focusing on measurable metrics and achievable goals to enhance student progression, retention, and graduation rates.

• Conduct and lead weekly check-in meetings with partner institutions, ensuring consistent communication and progress tracking throughout the diagnostic process.

• Develop a comprehensive program implementation plan based on the playbook's recommendations, working closely with partner institutions to ensure seamless execution.

• Collaborate with Senior Director, Assistant Directors and subject matter experts to create and deliver expert coaching, learning modules, seminars, and workshops that align with the strategic goals outlined in the diagnostic analysis.

• Conduct thorough assessments of program effectiveness and generate concise summary reports detailing program activities and related events.

• Act as a primary point of contact for individual consulting, cohort participants, and other institutional partners, emphasizing hands-on involvement in the diagnostic and implementation phases.

• Contribute to research initiatives focused on NISS programs and initiatives, leveraging your senior-level expertise to enhance the depth and quality of research conducted.

• Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating a proactive and strategic approach to furthering the success of NISS programs.
