The Job Location Development Coordinator (JLD) oversees the off-campus part-time job program at Georgia State University-Atlanta. This role supports student success and creates connections for Atlanta metro area employers to hire Georgia State University students while earning a degree. The position manages a budget while creating unique programming and events for student hires. The JLD Coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Employer Relations at the Atlanta Campus. A comprehensive annual report must be maintained and generated annually.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison between students and part time off-campus employers. Communicate with employers to develop off-campus job opportunities and to inform employers of available services on campus. Make on-site visits to employers when appropriate.
- Plan and execute events and programming (job fairs, workshops, recruiting events, and tabling), with the support of the Career Programming Coordinator, to promote off-campus part time job opportunities for students.
- Critique resumes and application materials and support students in their use of job seeking resources.
- Develop resources related to off-campus student job seekers for students, faculty, and employers.
- Develop and implement, with the support of the Marketing Specialist, outreach plans to market the work of the JLD program.
- Conduct presentation in a variety of settings.
- Use a tracking system to monitor progress of job search and accepted employment. Generate monthly, semester, and annual reports on job acceptances, student referrals, job titles, employers, salary, and start and end dates. Provide data to the Office of Financial Aid and others as needed.
- Develop for approval the yearly budget plan based on JLD funding request.
- Participate in state and regional meetings to remain current in best practices.
- Supervise a student assistant.
- Actively participate in the general activities of University Career Services.
