The Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will evaluate and treats patients in accordance with the prescription of the physician. Provides patient care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards and Code of Ethics; the Plan for the Provision of Care to Patients, the Plan for Corporate Compliance, the Performance Improvement Plan and Patient Education Plan. Assists in the continuous quality improvement process and in the education and training of students, as applicable, and assists in divisional growth and cohesiveness to ensure a high quality of therapy care. Provides care maintaining safety of the environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical disabilities.

The Clinical Fellowship Year Program in Speech-Language Pathology is designed to provide the fellow with one year of post-graduate advanced practice which includes: training in patient clinical practice and professional development and may include research, operational/administrative duties or program development. The Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow ensures completion of required didactic, clinical and mentored hours, based upon the setting's needs and the requirements of the program. The Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow will have an identified clinical and research mentor.

CFY will rotate between acute and outpatient therapy.
