The Speech and Hearing Science Department, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks an Intermittent, Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct independent in-home language and cognitive testing as well as treatment of adults with post-stroke aphasia between the ages of 18-75 years. Testing will include assessments such as the Comprehensive Aphasia Test (CAT), Boston Naming Test (BNT), Test of Everyday Attention (TEA), and other computerized tasks using Eprime software. The treatment is a picture-naming based treatment with a specified cueing hierarchy, also delivered with Eprime software. Training will be provided for testing and treatment protocols.

Minimum Education Required:

Master's Degree in Speech Pathology

Required Qualifications:

Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

State licensure through the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board (OSHPB)


Desired Qualifications:

Ability to reliably travel without public transportation to participants’ homes

Experience and comfort working with adults with aphasia


Additional Information:

The pay range for this job profile is $42-$42. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
