Creighton University, College of Nursing (CON) Phoenix, AZ Campus invites applications for “Special Faculty” positions
for 2021 Spring, Summer, and Fall with focus on the following specialties from Medical/Surgical, Psychiatric/mental
Health, Critical Care, Community Health, Maternal/Child, Pediatrics. The CON hires Special Faculty mostly for the
following areas:


1) Labs – Safety & Quality labs, Health Assessment Lab – dependent upon the number of sections of lab a Special
Faculty can work anywhere from 2 – 18 hour/week.
2) Clinical rotations- varying numbers of hours/week from 12 – 18 hours/week and will require direct supervision of
students in the clinical areas.


Well-qualified candidates will a) demonstrate a commitment to teaching, and practice, and be responsible to educate

students in its ANC program. The College of Nursing serves about 500 students in its BSN programs and over 400
students in its graduate nursing programs. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master’s degree program in
nursing, Doctor of Nursing practice program, and post-graduate APRN certificate program at Creighton University are
accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.


Candidates must possess a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) (or earned doctorate in nursing) or possess a Bachelor
of Science in Nursing (BSN) and be currently enrolled in a MSN program to be considered. Ideally, the candidate will
have experience in classroom, clinical, and/or on-line instruction. The candidate must have a current unencumbered
license as an RN in the state of Arizona, or eligibility for license and have two (2) years of continuous clinical experience.

Qualifications:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) (or earned doctorate in nursing) or possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
and be currently enrolled in a MSN program to be considered;
Two (2) years clinical experience in one of the following specialties from Medical/Surgical, Psychiatric/mental Health,
Critical Care, Community Health, Maternal/Child, Pediatrics;
A current unencumbered license as an RN in the state of Arizona, or eligibility for license

Clinical expertise in area of nursing;
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
Strong collaborative/teamwork ability to motivate, and inspire individuals at all levels of the organization;
Ability to foster student and staff learning, development, and decision making in support of goals, success, wellness, and
needs;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations;
Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others;
Mission/Service and Results oriented;
Ability to work at times non-traditional business hours when needed (i.e. weekends, evening, and/or holiday)
