Posting Context Statement
The Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD) is an independent unit within the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. The CDHD is supported through a federal infrastructure grant with numerous projects funded through sponsored accounts. The CDHD improves the lives of people with disabilities and their families by educating an interdisciplinary workforce, providing training and technical assistance within communities, conducting research, providing direct services, and disseminating evidence-based information.
Position Overview
The Regional Transition Coordinators (RTC) will develop training materials and guidance documents and provide training and technical assistance following evidence-based practices focused on competitive integrated employment (CIE) to regional interagency transition teams that are Pathways to Partnerships (P2P) pilot sites. The goal is to grow the capacity of collaborative regional teams across the state to design and develop systems of support that will increase CIE for students with disabilities aged 10 through 21.
Additionally, the RTC will make informed decisions regarding instructional coordination and support, professional development, collaboration, and teamwork. These decisions will impact the overall CIE efforts in Idaho. Time management and day-to-day operations of the project will be key to the success of this position. This individual will primarily travel regionally and throughout the state when needed.
Collaboration with the ICIE Director and Associate Director, other ICIE RTCs, CDHD staff, and other statewide projects will be required to implement programmatic goals, maintain external relationships with Pathways to Partnerships staff, pilot Local Education Agency (LEA) staff, and other stakeholders.
