Students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the University of Oklahoma enjoy a world-class, innovative experience of mobile and biometric credentials, as well as traditional identification cards produced through the Sooner Card office. The Sooner Card team has a unique, front-line opportunity in welcoming both internal and external stakeholders to campus, often for the very first time. The Sooner Card student office assistant will further promote the department’s brand by providing an excellent customer experience at both our Student Union and Stubbeman Village locations.
Student Office Assistant Duties:
- Ensure all customers receive a positive, first-rate experience.
- Maintain a respectful, professional working environment with other student employees and full-time staff
- Accurately communicate via email, phone, and in person, the procedure for obtaining a new ID card, or replacing a lost or damaged card.
- ID card production
- Biometric enrollment
- Assist with mobile credentials and promote mobile credentials
- Receive cash and credit card payments from customers
- Process special orders
- Answer phones and transfer calls appropriately
- Work with Sooner Card engineers on technical issues
- Prepare daily cash deposit
- Weekly inventory
Must be available for shifts at both locations during typical business hours, M-F 8:45am to 5:15pm, scheduled around class and student commitments.

Job Requirements
---
Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in a combination of two terms as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
- Must attach Spring, Summer, and/or Fall 2024 ONE class schedule.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently and under supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Mac OS, desktops and laptops
- Able to work with little to no supervision
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to maintain confidential records
- Cash handling experience
- Multi-line telephone familiarity
- Basic office skills: printer/copier
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- May be required to bend, lift, stoop, walk, carry and be exposed to temperature changes.
