Research Assistant 2


Department:
Engineering | Biomedical Engineering

This position works on mathematical modeling and computer simulation of cardiac excitability and arrhythmias; helps develop custom computer code in a variety of programming languages/platforms, including, but not limited to, C++, Qt, Python, and Matlab; helps with design of computer simulations and analysis of results; assists with preparations of abstracts and manuscripts; manages and maintains hardware to support high performance computer simulation; helps maintain laboratory website and content.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in biomedical engineering or engineering

Additional Education Desired

Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in biomedical engineering or engineering

Required Qualifications

Required: Ability to translate, adapt, and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of engineering research; extremely detail oriented; strong interest in laboratory research; previous laboratory experience.

Desired: Experience in area of cardiac computational electrophysiology.


Additional Information:

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $18.23 - $22.26/hour
