UW-IT is the central IT organization for the University of Washington, providing critical technology support to all three campuses, UW medical centers and global research operations. UW-IT collaborates with University partners to advance teaching, learning, innovation and discovery at the UW.  Academic Experience Design & Delivery (AXDD), a unit within UW-IT, advances teaching, learning, research, and clinical work by investigating computing trends and identifying user needs in order to implement and support the latest technology solutions and applications for communication and collaboration, instruction, productivity, and risk management.

AXDD collaborates with campus partners on key university initiatives to develop new products and services that meet student needs. For example, AXDD currently partners with UW advising units to provide predictive analytics applications that assist with student retention and success initiatives. The Software Engineer (SE) in AXDD will work collaboratively with other engineers to design, develop, test, document, and maintain a suite of enterprise, high-availability web applications, web services, and data science infrastructure for use in teaching, learning, research, and collaboration by all members of the University of Washington community.
