What you need to know:

  • TTI is a Texas based agency. This position has the flexibility of a hybrid remote option with two days in a TTI Texas based office. This can be discussed further during the interview process.

  • The salary range for this position is $51K - $77K. Final salary will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience.

Job Summary :

The purpose of this position is to develop web applications for specific research projects. The person in this position will build and maintain medium-to-large scale, complex web applications for TTI sponsors and to provide programming/application support for TTI research tools. This position, under direction, performs complex and specialized software development support functions, such as troubleshooting, analysis, research, de-bugging, and problem-solving. Completes reports and summaries for management and users including project status reports, problem reports, and progress summaries. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance.

Job Duties :

  • 65% - Designs complex web-based programs, program modifications, or applications. Develops specifications based on input from the customer and creates complex design documents.

  • 20% - Assists with data architecture design. Participates in the evaluation of software products and programming languages to determine their applicability to a specific system or project.

  • 10% Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems by reviewing and analyzing software documentation and production output to identify causes, solutions, and make appropriate referrals. Evaluates and follows through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated.

  • 4% - Assists project leader with developing work plans and time schedules for projects including outlining phases, identifying personnel, and computing equipment requirements.

  • 1% - Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of advanced analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving, client relations skills, requirement assessment and analysis, project management methodology, and proficiency of the Information Technology Interface Library (ITIL).

  • Experience in web development, production, and maintenance.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education :

  • Masters degree in related field.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency developing JavaScript web applications including with jQuery and other libraries such as Angular, Vue, React, etc.

  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology, GIT, DevOps, Scrum, and Linux.

  • Proficiency with PyTorch Tableau, and Python.
