Position Summary
This role is a M-F days position working at our North County Outpatient Dialysis Center. Provides psychosocial and supportive intervention, consultation and education to patients/families. Utilizes the Social Work process to determine the individual patient needs and the appropriate community resources. Assists with scheduling, research studies and works with insurance on coverage and facilitates referrals.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides psychotherapy services for patients and their families.
- Conducts family therapy with participants in research study including documentation.
- Prepares psychosocial reports and maintains necessary records.
- Schedules patient appointments and provides telephone follow-up.
- Facilitates referrals and community resources for patients/families.
- Verifies insurance coverage for patients.
- Answers inquiries from patients/families about community resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Verbal and written ability with organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with nephrology population is a plus
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work.
- Currently a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois depending on location.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Salary Range
$26.46 - $41.03 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
