Summary of Job Duties:

The Social Work Program Manager at the Psychiatric Research Institute's Adolescent Substance Use Program oversees daily clinic operations, including staff supervision, policy implementation, assessments, and training. They establish partnerships with community stakeholders to boost referrals and develop a research-backed program for treating substance use in 12-21 year-olds. The role demands strong organizational and leadership skills, involvement in hiring decisions, and collaboration with PRI leadership and the Medical Director to ensure regulatory compliance. The Manager also ensures patient safety, handles operational tasks, supports staff, and addresses challenging cases.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field

  • Current and valid license by Arkansas Professional Board - Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

  • 5 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, including 2 years of clinical supervision experience


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct clinical services diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention.

  • Mandates reporting in compliance with legal and professional standards and guidelines.

  • Provides Psychological Testing, if licensure allows, that is consistent with permission of their Professional State Licensure. 

  • Completes clinical and administrative processes and documentation: compliance with Medicaid, insurance, Joint Commission, program, and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Participates administrative tasks such as medical record reviews, treatment outcomes projects, and program development projects in addition to direct-service-related documentation.

  • Works with administrative support and utilization management staff as needed to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing review authorization of services, and transfer/referral of clients to other programs as needed.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.
