Job Summary/Basic Function

The Graduate Assistant would assist with the administrative tasks associated with the Field program of the Department of Social Work.

Specific Responsibilities
· Assisting with the planning and coordination of special events sponsored by the Field Program including the following: Night of Professional Development, NASW Conference attendance, Hamilton Center Collaborative Conferences, and other events as scheduled.
· Assisting with BSW and MSW student recruitment.
· Collecting data from community agencies regarding agency internship needs.
· Providing orientation and mentoring to undergraduate students as they prepare for their initial placements in field agencies, including a presentation during the initial orientation.
· Developing and delivering monthly training for social work interns that focus on relevant topics to further enhance professional development.
· Assist in responding to ISU Sonia (field documentation software) support requests.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday between the hours of 8-4:30 PM

Responds to communications with supervisor in a quick and timely manner. Will be able to finalize projects on time. Also, keep a weekly time sheet to keep track of hours worked.
