Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Social Sciences, invites applications for a temporary pool for 2019-2022 in Sociology to fill anticipated part-time and/or full-time positions with an expertise in Research Methods, Contemporary Theory, Social Movements, LGBTQ, Social Change, Stratification, Intro to Sociology, Sociology of Deviant Behavior, Family, Criminology, as well as a variety of upper division courses within the applicant’s area of expertise and/or teaching experience that simultaneously fit the department’s needs. Applicants in previous pools will have to reapply to be considered. Positions contingent on the availability of funding.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Sociology or related field and completion of successful interview.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at college/university level; Ph.D. is preferred, ABD considered.

Additional Information

The College of Arts and Sciences at Clarion University is seeking to expand the current temporary faculty pool to teach various undergraduate courses for the 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022 academic years. Applicants in previous pools will have to reapply to be considered. All positions are contingent upon the availability of funding.
