Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Social Science Researcher for the National Drug Court Resource Center will support the dissemination and promotion of the center by:
  • Developing, disseminating, and analyzing the biennial survey of treatment courts across the United States and Territories.
  • Write the peer-reviewed Painting the Current Picture monograph based on the survey results.
  • Conduct original research on treatment courts and related areas to disseminate to the treatment court field.
  • Assist NDCRC co-directors with the publication of the peer-reviewed journal, Drug Court Review.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Four year degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience, or combination of training and experience necessary to perform the work. All degrees must be received from accredited institutions. 
Preferred education, professional skills and experience
Preference will be given to candidates with:
  • Formal education or training, professional skills and work experience
  • Master’s Degree in social science related field
  • Previous experience with treatment courts and/or research in the treatment court field
