Position Summary
This position is responsible for helping to support divisional research staff with the administration and management of multiple new and existing research projects in the Division of Urogynecology. 
The research assistant will be responsible for assisting in recruitment, scheduling, visit conduct, data collection, data entry, and monitoring. This person should be familiar with IRB process and with clinical research situations. This person should be able to communicate clearly and effectively with primary investigators (PI) and be familiar with medical terminology, with a preference for prior experience or knowledge relating to the field of urogynecology. The research assistant should adhere to standards of proper study conduct in compliance with the FDA Code of Federal Regulations and Good Clinical Practice. The research assistant will inform and help the PIs with issues that arise during study execution, aid with preparation for monitoring or audits, and help to the collection of study results.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- Availability for variable work schedules since responsibilities may require this flexibility.
- Must have clinical research experience.
- Must have working knowledge of research principles, GCP, and applicable FDA regulations.
- The individual in this position performs with some latitude and independent judgment, subject to School and University policies, state and federal regulations, and other guidelines governing the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience with each of industry-sponsored, federally funded, and PI-initiated or pilot studies preferred.
