Position Summary | The Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases is seeking a research assistant to survey individuals incarcerated in jail about their history of COVID-19 testing and vaccination and how they have received information about COVID-19 in the past. Among participants that are not fully vaccinated at the time of jail release, the RA will provide information on obtaining a vaccine following their release. conduct jail surveys and interviews with incarcerated individuals about attitudes and beliefs about COVID vaccine and COVID in a NC Jail. 1. Consenting individuals incarcerated in jail for the study 2. Conducting survey with incarcerated individuals who consented for the study 3. Entering survey into Qualtrics at the time of the study 4. Serve as liaison between the investigators and the jail 5. Organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files for individuals in study – Study will be conducted for 12 months part time. 6. Recruit study participants 7. Assistant with dissemination of study findings (abstracts, papers, literature reviews). |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Experience with COVID-19 or infectious diseases. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Experience with incarcerated individuals. |
