Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to support the PIs and to participate in recruitment/enrollment of study participants in a randomized clinical trial, organization of patient samples, tracking enrollment at all study sites, follow-up with study participants to perform structured interviews and assessments. This position will also help manage the schedule for undergraduate volunteers and medical students assisting with the study. Duties will include supporting the PI with tracking patients in the study, conducting telephone surveys with enrolled participants, screening of potentially eligible patients and consenting patients as well as maintaining accurate and updated manuals of procedures for the studies.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Specialized knowledge in clinical research principles Ability to plan and design methodologies for monitoring data collection Ability to take a leadership role in implementing changes in design of clinical research management Ability to problem solve and resolve quality control issues by changing processes.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Graduation from an undergraduate program focused on pre-med or pre-PhD coursework in one of the following disciplines: medicine, epidemiology or public health, psychology or other biological science leading toward preparing for a graduate degree. At least 1 -2 years of clinical experience preferred.
