Department Description
 The Department of Radiology, School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina is committed to excellence in providing radiological services to the people of North Carolina, training future radiologists and engaging in basic and clinical research. The physicians provide services to patients at UNC Hospitals as well as additional sites across the state. More than one-half of the faculty is also directly involved in research studies with other universities, with other departments in the Schools of Medicine and Public Health, and with the Department of Computer Science.

Position Description
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance for research projects for the Department of Radiology’s Clinical Research Division. This position will gather, edit, analyze, and report data/information for a variety of research. Design research questionnaires and generate reports to summarize various projects conducted within the research team. This position will also assist with patient recruitment into research studies. 
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Technical knowledge and skill in specific/content area(s) and ability to keep current with developments and trends in area(s) of research. Working knowledge of the research principles, technical methods, and processes used to conduct a systematic and objective inquiry including methods of data entry, collection and analysis, and summarizing and reporting results. Knowledge may be acquired through academic and/or on-the-job training. Ability to follow established guidelines for assessing compliance with protocol and manuals of procedures and ability to suggest possible ways to improve the monitoring process. 
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with human subjects in a clinical research setting. Preference will be given for individuals holding a clinical research certification (CCRP, CCRC, ACRP-CP, RAC
