Position Summary | The Social Clinical Research Assistant will assist the Principle Investigator(s) in co-design of research projects to meet grant requirements. He or she will use working knowledge of best practices in research, quality improvement and database management in order to synthesize system-wide data from other sources (e.g. CDC), organization-wide Primary Care Improvement Collaborative (PCIC) goals, and outside partners’ databases into existing research domains. He or she will work to support partnerships across all six UNC Health professions schools and community based partners to assist in producing large scale research findings in care. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Comprehensive knowledge of research principles, study design and methods of data collection. Ability to analyze complex information and data sets, including knowledge of statistics and related information technology to analyze and report data/information. Ability to lead multiple, concurrent assignments. Ability to lead exchange of research information through technical assistance and instruction. Ability to independently provide consultation to others related to the specific project/program. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly. Professionalism, dependability, and integrity are a must as position will be interacting with and reporting to various professionals through the center/division and other School of Medicine departments, and health care system. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Experience working with older adults, excellent communication and organizational skills, familiarity with using technology. |
