Job Summary

As the Site Specialist you will be a seasoned individual contributor responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows, Macintosh, and iOS hardware and various software and networking issues. This position must coordinate updates and fixes with senior support staff and provide comprehensive support while working around the individuals' schedules within the College. Non-support duties include imaging machines, deploying hardware, moving equipment, managing salvage and making minor changes in activities and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of the area. Responsible for other duties as assigned. This position exists to expedite IT deployment and repair for the College of Health and Human Sciences users.

 

As the Lead Site Specialist you will be a recognized specialist serving as a team lead responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows, Macintosh, and iOS hardware and various software and networking issues. This position must coordinate updates and fixes with senior support staff and work around the individuals' schedules within the College. Non-support duties include imaging machines, deploying hardware, moving equipment, managing salvage and making minor changes or enhancements to solve problems or improve effectiveness of area. You will be responsible for other duties as assigned. This position exists to expedite IT deployment and repair for the College of Health and Human Sciences users.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience:
As the Site Specialist you will need the following:

  • Associate’s degree in computer technology or related discipline 
  • One (1) year of experience
  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience (e.g. High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience) or related certification (e.g., CompTIA A+)

 

As the Lead Site Specialist you will need the following:

  • Associate’s degree in computer technology or related discipline
  • Two (2) years of experience
  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience (e.g. High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience) or related certification (e.g., CompTIA A+)

 

Skills Needed:
For both positions you will need the following:

  • Familiarity with and/or ability to learn in Windows, Macintosh, and iOS environments
  • Ability to work:
  • under moderate supervision
  • on routine but sometimes complex or tedious tasks and requests
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical issues or request further information
  • Effective time management and demonstrated problem-solving skills
