Job Description:
Bellarmine University College of Health Professions is looking for a dynamic individual for the position of Simulation Educator/Skills Lab Coordinator. The successful candidate will support the College of Health Professions in the ongoing day-to-day operations and growth of the simulation center and skills lab. This will include working closely with members of the simulation team along other faculty and staff to develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate both skills and simulation-based activities. In addition, the individual filling this role will have primary responsibility for the coordination, set up and management of day-to-day skills lab activities.
Specific job responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, implementing and evaluating simulation activities in collaboration with faculty, staff and participants
- Providing resources and supervision in the skills lab to ensure student experiences meet course and program outcomes. This will include collaborating with faculty to plan teaching strategies to help students meet clinical skills requirements, developing formal skills assessments, serving as a mentor for remediation of high-risk students and managing the room setup and breakdown for skills activities.
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of lab supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following qualifications:
- Education - Master's degree (M.S.) or equivalent
- Experience - one to two years related experience and/or training
- Preferred Certifications - Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), Certified Nurse Educator (CNE)
