UHealth Information Technology department has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk assembles and prepares items for shipment and receives incoming shipments to all University campuses and remote sites. Further, an employee in this position maintains detailed reports of items received, and deliveries and distributions made.

  • Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.

  • Unpacks materials and supplies and ensures accuracy.

  • Makes delivery of items received to appropriate location or department.

  • Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.

  • Retrieves surplus equipment or supplies.

  • Requests product return authorizations and processes required documents.

  • performs IT product order delivery, data entry, document scanning, and procurement related activities.

  • Tracks orders and enters information regarding order and delivery details into appropriate database.

  • Responds to inquiries and concerns regarding ordered items.

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                                       

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Valid unrestricted Florida Driver’s License is required.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

  • General knowledge and understanding of computer hardware, software, and peripherals and experience with product distribution.

  • Ability to lift/push/carry up to 70 pounds individually, greater weights with assistance.

  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Commitment to the University’s core values.

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
