The ServiceNow Business Analyst II will work closely with Director of Operations to oversee all ServiceNow related business. They will serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, ServiceNow integration partners, and the ServiceNow technical team on new business development, existing system enhancements and will help drive adoption and effective use of the ServiceNow platform across the organization.

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, document user stories, and prioritize development efforts to deliver ServiceNow solutions that meet business needs.
  • Lead technical team through road mapping of annual system upgrades and enhancements
  • Chair SNOW-related Governance Committee
  • Strategic Subject Matter Expert (SME) and partner to the Enterprise Project Management Office on all Operational and Capitally funded ServiceNow project work
  • Serve as the first point of contact for business users to answer ServiceNow questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide platform support
  • Liaise with technical team to convey business requirements, scope, and drive applicable timelines
  • Participate in testing and validation to ensure new solutions meet defined requirements
  • Conduct training sessions and create documentation to develop ServiceNow knowledge across the organization
  • Stay up to date on new ServiceNow features and releases to identify opportunities for continued platform enhancement and optimization
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Req Bachelor's degree
  • If no bachelor's degree, additional 4 years of experience is required; however, high school diploma is required.
  • Req 5 years Experience as a business analyst or similar role supporting enterprise implementations
  • Req 5 years Project management/coordination experience
  • Req Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with organizational leadership
  • Req Strong background automating business processes and workflows
  • Req Experience with onboarding and offboarding processes (preferred)
  • Req Experience with ServiceNow verticals and modules (preferred)
  • Req Ability to quickly grasp business needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Req Ability to build reports and dashboards for end users
  • Req Comfortable conducting user training and curating documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Req Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification or ServiceNow CSA certification. If no certification upon hire, must obtain within one year of hire.
  • Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)

The annual base salary range for this position is $95,680.00 - $158,230.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
